Listen

Won’t you come?

Listen, for your Father in heaven is speaking truth wrapped in love.  I exist to show my love and care and truth.  I draw my people back to me.  So distraught and distracted.  So lonely and lost.  Won’t my people listen?

Why can’t they see how lovely I am?  Why can’t they see the beauty of my creation?  Aren’t people reflecting my light, my love, and my image in ways that are strikingly different from the world?

My people are so busy.  So distraught.  Enamored by the wines, wins, and ways of this world.  Competing to get ahead, but lost to my words and ways.

Can anyone hear me?  Can anyone see me?  I will be found when you seek me with all your heart.

Set everything aside.  Clear your schedule.  Clear your mind.  Unclutter your day and search for my Sabbath Treasure.  Hunt for me until you find me.  My arms are open wide.  I’m holding love and truth, kindness and peace, mercy and grace…descending treasure to all who come searching for the LORD of the Sabbath.

Then you’ll find rest for your weary soul.  Only my presence and only my gifts will satisfy you.

Won’t you come?
